One of the biggest international League of Legends tournaments of 2022 is the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational , featuring the Spring (Split 1) Champions of all competitive regions except Euro, China, Korea. It will take place between May 1st – May 19th 2019 in Vietnam/Taiwan, with the play-in matches taking place in Hanoi, followed by the group stages in Ho Chi Minh City, before relocating to Taipei for the semi-finals and grand finals.

Eight teams will participate in this round
Teams are split into two groups of four
Two seeds from Pool 1 and two seeds from Pool 2 in each group

Matches are Best-of-One Format
Top team in each team advances to round 2

Teams are directly seeded by Taiwan / North America
Two advancing teams from Round 1
NA okays against the winner of Group A, Taiwan faces the winner of Group B
Matchs are played in a Best-of-5 format
Winners of those matches advance to main event
Losers drop to the lower bracket
Winner of Lower bracket match also advances to the main event
